Ann (30) and John Douglas (36) (spelt John Douglass here) are living with John R. (6) who was born, like his mother, in Ulgham. They are joined by Alice?(4) and George (2) both born in Widdrington. John Douglas is working as a Railway Repairer and was born in Felton, Northumberland. They live next to the Farm House that is inhabited by John and Margaret Whinham. They may be Ann's parents. John is the Farmer of 240 acres, 4 men. There is more information about the resources of the farm but that is unclear from the census. Margaret is from Felton and John from Burraton/Burradon, Northumberland. Their eldest daughter is 28 and was born in the same place as Ann so it is highly likely that John and Margaret are her parents.
