If you have been trying to get onto the site between 6 and 8pm on Sunday 25th October you won't have got very far. Why? Well the laptop that contains all of the marvellous information on this site blew up. OK. That's a slight exaggeration. The power pack stopped working and I hadn't noticed until the battery warning came up with 30 mins left. Heepers Jeepers!! So the next 10 minutes was a panic trying to get all of the new football stats and pictures copied across to a back up laptop. A couple of weekends ago I'd decided to get the back-up laptop equipped to be able to run sweatyonion. That took around 4 nights in the week and I'm glad I did. The only thing I didn't test is making sweatyonion accessible outside our house. That was more troublesome than I thought and led to the 2 hours of down-time. If anyone knows anything about IT then it was all to do with Apache, Vista and Windows firewall. Anyway we're back in town and I'm going to get some egg and mackerel on the go.
