Rest day. Yay! We all cycled in our smart clothes to relocate to a wonderful 16/17Century farmhouse next to a grand maison called Roches Blanches with woods and lakes on the edge of Le Pin.
the chambre d'hotes at Roches Blanches
Parked up the bikes outside in the searing heat and set ourselves up in the village's superb tabac-come-restaurant and watch passers by take advantage of their toilet (seems OK just to pop in and use it like a public loo and the staff always smile). We have a good conversation with Mal about kids when in comes Yves and a shocked Antoine, "What is your story?", he asks. Had a great 10Euro50 menu du jour lounged in the grounds of the chateau then walked to Sophie's house for a wonderful and funny night with all the Trouves. A great family. A great night. Great!!

Stayed in Le Pin to meet up with the Trouves! Went to La Fontaine Fleurie cafe for drinks - Yves and Antoine came in with their accountant! Had dinner with the Trouves (Sophie's house).
Notre amis
It was so nice to see them all. Sophie has two girls - Flavie and Lina, and Antoine has a boy with Nadine called Marius. Marie-T took us to see their house - the smell was so familiar! Lovely evening, slept terribly though.
